The famous Carnival parade will only happen next year, but Rio Media Center’s. Created in 1931, Unidos da Tijuca became famous for its creative approach, and is the current leader of LIESA’s rank, which classify samba schools based on their performance in the last 5 years.
Using the expertise at uniting tradition and innovation, Unidos da Tijuca created Carnaland, a show where the unmistakable carioca smoothness and rhythm are guaranteed from beginning to end.
The show was carefully put together by samba specialists, and is performed by Pura Cadência - Unidos da Tijuca’s prized drumming section. In the repertoire are some of their own compositions, along with covers from classic Brazilian musicians like Tom Jobim, Gal Costa, Maria Rita and Wilson Simonal.
Carnaland will happen in four different dates from July to August, and is an absolute must for any music lover visiting Brazil.
