The Itaú collection showcases 60 years of Brazilian photography
The 2012 Itaú exhibition brings together 115 works of Brazilian photography from the last 60 years and includes famous names such as Thomaz Farkas, Miguel Rio Branco, Vik Muniz and Cris Bierrenbach. For the amateur enthusiasts there will also be showing some of the most experimental works from established photography clubs. The central subtext of the exhibition is designed to illustrate that the evolution of a photography is not linear, but full of sudden innovations or regressive turns, shaped by movements in culture and time.
