The Lagoa is turned into a huge projection screen for Rio+20
Don't be shocked if you see a cartoon hovering in thin air as you drive past the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas in the coming days and nights. To draw attention to the world's wasted water during the Rio+20 event, Aqualume have taken it upon themselves to submerge a giant sprinkler in the Lake, the spray from which is used as a 'screen' on which they will be projecting films until 24 June. On dry land at the Cantagalo end of the Lagoa will be live music from the likes of Letuce (24 June) and Blackbird (23 June), with children's activities at the weekend.
