An artistic take on South America's intra-nation alliances
Balanced on the edge of the Guanabara Bay, Niemeyer’s “flying saucer” becomes a space in which various ideologies and aethetics from thoughout South America come together thanks to the Nuestro Sitio exhibition. Uniting artists from Bolivia, Brazil, Columbia, Chile, Ecuador and Paraguay, each brings a different emphasis in their work, reflecting on certain topics relating to their own communities. The collection looks to raise questions about ideological tensions throughout the continent, fluxes of migration and consumer and market relations, all explored through photography, videos, installations, paintings and other, more experimental creations.
