Stylish French boulangerie on Copa's booming high street
The first genuine bakery to leave its mark on the neighbourhood, Copacabana's Padaria Guerin opened in early 2012 to the delight of locals tired of their usual pão francês options. Little wonder, too, given that it is under the command of Le Pré Catalan's former pastry chef Dominique Guerin, using the skills he learned as a kid in his grandfather's bakery in Paris. What stronger credentials could he possibly need, therefore, to entice the masses to his range of authentic baguettes, quiches and croissants, not to mention the macarrons and eclairs that light up the counter?
