Die-hard Copacabana cinema
Copacabana's number one movie spot and a bit of an enduring classic, right on the corner of the ever-bustling Avenida Nossa Senhora de Copacabana and Rua Bolivar. Only three screens lie within, but it has kept a considerably more inviting atmosphere than some of the stark, modern multiplexes around, as befits the neighbourhood. Opened in 1938, it was a landmark then as it is today, not least because of the huge queues that snake around the block for new releases.
