The Conexão Rio instrumental music event comes to a halt at Circo Voador this weekend, promising three nights of live music and special guests from early evening until dawn.
Thursday night sees the return of cult 1970s band Som Imaginário, back with a brand new show and line up. Ilê Ayê steps up with B'Negão for some funk-filled percussive action, and Tulipa Ruiz closes things out with a late-night swing.
On Friday, local favourites Orquestra Voadora bring some brass-band blaring along with the ever-dramatic Otto, and on Saturday Dona Onete will let her class do the talking before things take a step into more electronic direction with João Brasil.
