Former Pink Floyd man takes his personal opus back on the road
It may just be the ultimate in stadium tours, putting U2 to shame and every other wannabe into perspective. Pink Floyd were never shy about making grand statements whether it was with their music, performances or interviews, and Roger Waters follows that route when he brings The Wall to Brazil for the first time. Having conceived the album during a period of crisis both for himself and the band, Waters is now concerned with translating that angst into a modern, politically charged show, and with the help of a 230-foot wall in the middle of Engenhão stadium on which to project the visual side of things, it looks like it will have the means to back up his ambitions.
