A genuine taste of the North East's seasonal madness in São Crisóvão throughout June and July
The most authentic slice of the North East in Rio, the Feira de São Cristóvão, also known as the Feira Nordestina, hosts a traditional seasonal Arraiá from the last weekend of June to the end of July to welcome in the winter. With live bands from all over the north of the country, some of the most famous line dancing groups, apple-bobbing, typical food and drinks and an awful lot of folk from Pernambuco to Paraiba, there aren't many better places to get your dose of Festa Junina action, and it is open throughout the week and non-stop over the weekend.
