The idea behind Música Pra Todo Mundo - Music For Everybody - is to boost new sounds, artists and an innovation within the wide sphere of Brazilian music. With a line-up partly curated by the organisers, partly chosen by the fans, four new names join a few well-established ones on the bill, with the possibility of winning a record deal with Oi Musica the goal.
Paraná band Nevilton and the Mineiro artist Pedro Morais take to the stage on the Thursday, with the bouncy Molotov Jukebox (complete with a certain someone from the HBO TV series Game of Thrones fact fans) and Tono (joined by heavyweight São Paulo MC Criolo) the headliners.
Friday night opens up with Bárbara Eugenia's PJ Harvey-inspired sound and Wado from Alagoas doing it for the unsigned bands, followed by Qinho (and special guest rapper MV Bill) and honey-voiced singer Céu. An excellent opportunity to hear the disparate future sounds of Brazil and a handful of current rising stars.
