From its conception in Toulouse, the Inox Festival has gone on to grace the cities of Strasbourg, Paris and now Rio de Janeiro, the criminally underused, brilliantly eccentric Estação Leopoldina venue becoming the scene of the action for Brazil's answer to one of France's biggest electronic music festivals.
The main indoor stage bulges with an international line up that includes Robbie Rivera, Electrixx and homegrown duo Felguk fresh from headlining the Reveillon party on the Lagoa. Speaking of local talent, the festival showcases a large contingent of no less that seventeen carioca DJs of varying clout. In order to capitalise on the vast venue, the organisers also lay down a second open air stage to help keep the music ploughing on through until the ungodly hour of ten in the morning. So that's eleven hours of non-stop electronic music, all housed in one of the best venues of its kind in the city. Sold.
