The inaugural indie karaoke competition at Casa da Matriz at the end of 2011 proved so popular that the night has now taken up a firm Wednesday residency. A favourite at Botafogo's coolest alternative club, Indie Karaoke may not ooze street-cred on paper, but they sure take to the stage with determination round these parts. Expect everything from wannabe rappers throwing their best b-boy shapes to the last word in foppish shoe-gazing with a serious message for anyone that will listen.
