If the first part of their Summer celebration was a memorable party of grand proportions in the murky depths of Botafogo, for the second (indeed final) edition of the dirtyblackdisco carioca summer series, the brains behind the label have prepared a juicy-looking afternoon boat party to ensure that they go out with a bang. The title, The Deep Sea, hints at the hedonistic maritime affair that the afternoon session is sure to be with the entry price including a free bar.
Music comes from the Californian DJ Kayo and his selection of minimal deep house and groovy disco cuts, joined by the London-based, Chilean-born Count Choc, label boss of Five Easy Pieces so he ought to know a thing or to about throwing a good party. As always, Butter (the founder of dirtyblackdisco) seals the deal with his excellent taste that branches out across the dance music realm. Having lived in Rio for a year, the DJ is preparing to move on to foreign shores so expect a special effort to be made for this farewell celebration.
