Lapa's newest nighthawk hotspot gets ready to return to the bass
Pedro Piu, Rio's nocturnal master and the man behind the cult bass-heavy night Brazilian Wax, teams up with the Botafogo Social Club once more at this intimate new Lapa venue. The soundsystem is the key, huge stacks of speakers delivering the kind of thump that earned Piu his stripes, and the inaugural event in June had the 250 capacity upstairs room bouncing all night long. Breaks, beats and rhymes to the fullest.
