Matriz Group's live and indie music Lapa joint
A short hop from Lapa's main drag Avenida Mem de Sá lies another of the Matriz Group's spots, this time dedicated a little more to live music, predominantly rock but also a healthy dose of samba and MPB. New and emerging bands dominate the line ups, though guests have included Jello Biafara and Bombay Bicycle Club, whilst intriguingly-named parties like Sex Tape and Ultra Love Cats draw the crowds too. Regular i-Pod battles and 'democratic' music policies keep the playlists in the hands of the regulars.
