A weather-beaten naval theme goes perfectly with the beachfront location of restaurant Branche, in the Tulip Inn Hotel on Avenida Atlântica. Under the direction of new-for-2011 chef Rejane Werlang, Branche follows the same path adopted across the Tulip chain, meaning good quality, affordable food and wines, but with its own distinctly carioca personality. Seafood favourites like the herb-encrusted robalo with aubergine salad and tomato confit and the Vietnamese squid salad make for a perfect light lunch or post-beach treat and DJs often liven things up during the evening.
