The second Cluster event in a beautiful Botafogo villa once again brings together some of the city's brightest young designers and indie labels under one roof for a stylish but eminently relaxed afternoon of browsing, DJs, art, food, drink and, for the first time, debate.
As the city's cyclists continue to fight for respect on the roads, several of the movements shouting loudest for their right to pedal will come together to discuss what can be done to make Rio more 'bike-friendly'. Among them, Rio Sobre Duas Rodas (facebook.com/RioSobreDuasRodas), the cycle-photography specialists who will have an exhibition of their work on display, members of Bicicletada/Critical Mass (bicicletada.org) and Bike Anjo (bikeanjo.com.br), a network of experienced lovers of the two-wheeled whip offering free classes to anyone keen to learn how to ride.
As ever, though, Carolina Herszenhut and Camila Félix's event will focus on fashion and design, with twenty brands showing and selling their wares that include wooden sunglass specialists Notiluca (notiluca.com.br), t-shirt artist Antônio Guedes (behance.net/antonioguedex) and vinyl addicts Supernut Records (mararecords.com). The food court has been expanded with veggie options and artisanal burgers among the offerings, live graf comes courtesy of Rafo Castro and Igor SRC Nunes and those funky souls Marcello MB Groove, Icaro dos Santos and Andrei Yurievitch supply the tunes in the courtyard.
