São Paulo’s got talent when it comes to the creative arts, home to the best of Brazil’s designers, artists, and all the myriad creative types in between. Bringing some of those talented right-brainers under one roof, from street artists to animators, the annual art and design conference, Pixel Show, is an opportunity for enthusiasts from all branches of art and design to get their heads together and explore and expand their fields of expertise.
With a series of presentations and seminars that are directed at design professionals – reflected in the cost, with one-day lecture passes starting at R$248 for students – the two-day event, now in its eighth year, is held at the Clube Hebraica and features a free art and technology trade fair and a freestyle tagging and graffiti area.
It’s not just for the pros, though. Street art, for example, may be a ubiquitous part of many a São Paulo block, but it’s not every day you get the chance to listen to the most interesting, creative Brazilian grafiteiros or, better still, see them in action.
