São Paulo: Mostly Cloudy
This event has finished
The sound of bag pipes, a whirlwind of Scottish reeling on the dance floor, whisky flowing… it might sound more like a scene from the Highlands of Scotland than São Paulo. And that’s exactly the aim of The St. Andrew Society – to bring a taste of Scotland to São Paulo, with annual events including The Burns Supper and the Caledonian Ball – a formal ball, where expats and locals alike turn up in their finery for an evening that rolls from a cocktail reception through to a three-course dinner, with a pipe band, Scottish country music to accompany the reels (Scottish dances), and a DJ to round the night off. All profits go to local children's charities. For more details and to buy tickets, go to www.standrews.com.br or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
