Coinciding with the 37th São Paulo International Film Festival, which this year pays homage to legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, the MIS is hosting an exhibition of costumes, props, documents and original photos from Kubrick’s films.

Curated by Hans-Peter Reichmann of the Deutsches Film Museum of Frankfurt, and with the collaboration of Christiane Kubrick, the filmmaker’s widow, the MIS show traces Kubrick's career from his days in 40s' New York working as a photographer for Look Magazine, through to his short films and beyond.

The exhibition is split into 16 parts, each dedicated to Kubrick's classics, with visual and audio installations, including the Korova Milk Bar from A Clockwork Orange, the corridor from the Overlook Hotel in The Shining and the inside of the spaceship in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
