Unearth the African roots of Brazil

Ernest White II
Sculpture outside of Museu Afro Brasil

The Museu Afro Brazil is, quite simply, one of the jewels in the crown of Parque do Ibirapuera. Due to its late abolition, slavery is still an open wound in Brazil’s history; and a closer look at the impressive collection of paintings, photographs and clothing in this museum emphasises the impact African culture has had and still has on modern Brazil.

There are a lot of mistakes in this text. The Museu Afro Brasil is free. not R$ 5,00 as you said. And it close at 5pm, and the visitants can stay inside up to 6pm. There is 3 restaurants nearby, closer than 400 meters. And the gate (portão) is the gate 10.
