For two days only, Galeria Vermelho will be packed with exhibitions and events all related in some way to printed art, in the 4th edition of the project Tijuana. The first was in 2007, and it’s a chance to buy – or simply appreciate – everything from book art, posters, DVD and record covers and and illustrations. Plan your visit to coincide with one of the talks, film screenings, performances or concerts, all happening in the gallery, and all in some way part of a broad discussion about issues related to printed arts.
This time, it includes the traveling project Turnê, which has already visited various Brazilian cities, adding new artists and artworks along the way. There's also the presentation of a project by the Dutch artist Maurits de Bruijn, ‘There’s no Word for Saudade’, in which dialogues between two characters are created on a series of posters.
Look out, too, for a performance by the band Sonora Scootch, on Friday at 9pm, and on Saturday at 11am catch the performance ‘Ensaio para concerto de Contêiners’ (Rehearsal for a Concert of Containers) by Heleno Bernardi.
