Swiss artist Mira Schendel mixes geometric forms, symbols and letters to create intricate and detailed pieces of art. After moving to Brazil aged thirty, she remained here until her death in 1998. This exhibition at Caixa Cultural has sixty pieces on display from different parts of her extensive career, including some never-before-seen pieces. There’s some hands-on activity too – visitors can play with opaque and transparent panels to create overlapping works of art like the ones made by the artist herself.
