The Brazilian artist Jac Leirner has made Estação Pinacoteca a little bit more colourful and less serious with this enthusiastically received solo exhibition, which includes sculptures, installations, objects and watercolours. The pieces, made between 1980 and 2011, are an excellent sample of Leirner’s work and all its facets. Don’t miss the installation ‘Nomes’ or ‘Names’, in which the space's huge walls are plastered with colourful plastic bags. The artist likes to use objects like cigarettes packets, business cards and money in her art, taking them out of their context and giving them a new meaning and appearance.
