‘Leave your children and your shame at home and come one and all!’ reads the flyer for this show by the graffiti artist Felipe Yung, also known as Flip – and true enough, some of the images have an insolent, fruity sexuality about them that make them a little disturbing, and which explain the ‘over-16s’ only spec for this show, at the MUBE.

Flip, who is represented by São Paulo’s Galeria Logo, has created a set of works including sculptures, installations, drawings and a video installation whose theme is voyeurism. The Japanese term ‘Hentai’ means ‘metamorphosis’, ‘pornography’ or ‘sexual perversion’ and the show is true to the term in all its shades, packed with cartoonish sexualised images in sculpture and beautifully executed ink, with a thoroughly Asian flavour.
