What do you get when you invite some of the city's trendiest DJs to play on a rooftop bar, with the sun setting over a spectacular cityscape view, and all for no entry charge? An almighty scramble for tickets is what. So you'll need to be quick off the mark to get your name down for an evening at the limited-time bar, Heineken up on the Roof.
With 25th-floor views of the Centro, the bar – which has a slim menu of juice, water and pricey R$10 beers (350 ml) – is on the top floor of the Edifício Planalto, a 1950s downtown building with a curvaceous penthouse. The nightlife kingpin Facundo Guerra – the name behind a number of top São Paulo nightspots such as Lions, Cine Joia, Volt and Z Carniceria – is behind the eclectic musical lineup from some of the city's best club parties like Selvagem (2 February), Soul.set (8 February), Voodoohop (15 February) and Metanol (16 February).
