Xingu: DVD release

Beatriz Lefèvre O2 Filmes

One of South America’s largest national parks, the Parque Nacional do Xingu, was created thanks to the activist efforts of three Brazilian brothers. The film Xingu begins in the 1940s, when the Villas-Bôas brothers decide to leave life in the big city behind for an adventure in the jungles of central Brazil. Their mission to help preserve Indian culture would lead them into a battle for the official establishment of the first stretch of Indian-owned land.
Xingu is released on DVD on 12 December. Time Out has not yet reviewed this film.
