The music of Itamar Assumpção, the great Brazilian composer and one of the names responsible for the Vanguarda Paulista movement, is the centre of attention during an evening paying tribute to the singer at Casa de Francisca.
The trio consisting of Kiko Dinucci, Suzana Salles and Juçara Marçal come together to re-interpret some of the musical favourites that were defined by Assumpção’s trademark smoky voice.
Suzana Salles, the singer who accompanied Assumpção on their tour in the ’80s, reinforces the nostalgic tone of the evening. Songs like ‘Parece que Bebe’, ‘Que Tal o Impossível’ and the minimalist ‘Apaixonite Aguda’ will quickly warm up the house’s small stage.
