There’s no better time to celebrate the anniversary of Kiss FM radio than on 13 July, the International Day of Rock. And the party will most certainly be a fun one, with shows performed by Pink Floyd, U2 and Queen cover bands. The 11-year birthday of the radio station takes place at Via Funchal.
The End (Pink Floyd) from Argentina will play the major hits of the 1970s progressive rock band, while Italian band U2 Zen Garden will re-interpret some of Bono and company’s radio staples. But the main attraction is the Argentinian cover band God Save the Queen, which will close the celebratory evening with their versions of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘Love of My Life’, ‘I Want to Break Free’ and ‘We Are the Champions’, Queen’s unforgettable, era-defining songs that heavily contributed to two decades of rock ‘n’ roll history.
