A Coruja e o Coração (The Owl and the Heart) – the adorable name of Tiê’s second album – perfectly matches the singer’s soft voice and sweet lyrics. Tiê is to perform her entire 2011 album on the Tom Jazz stage in a one-time only show.
After her first album Sweet Jardim, which was comprised mainly all her own music, the singer takes a risk by trying her hand at unusual covers, such as ‘Você Não Vale Nada’, the popular song of the band Aviões do Forró. With the songs ‘Piscar o Olho’, ‘Pra Alegrar Meu Dia’ and ‘Hide and Seek’, Tiê sets the mood for a playful and captivating evening.
The singer’s approach is part folk and part indie, with her voice, gestures and setlist reflecting the Paulistana princess’ desire to create an intimate atmosphere in her performances.
