Bixiga70 presents its eponymous album, the band’s first studio project, at Cine Joia, one of the shiniest new music venues in São Paulo. The group has been acclaimed by both critics and the music-loving public – as DJ Camilo Rocha has it in the December issue of our magazine, ‘If Fela Kuti lived in São Paulo, this is the kind of music he’d be making’.
With a sound that melds funk, samba, jazz and other genres, the ten-member band welcomes special guests like Victor Rice - who produced their album - and dancers Regina Santos, Cristiane Gomes and Flávia Mazal to the show.
