She achieved fame in the 1970s with her group Rumo, and since the end of the 1980s, has had a solid solo career thanks to a flawless discography. In 2009, she released the acclaimed tribute album Balangandãns, featuring songs made immortal by Carmen Miranda; the record received such stellar reviews it secured her audiences interested enough to secure a two-year tour. Last year, she released another album, this time celebrating own efforts and her thirty years contributing to the history of Brazilian music. On Meu Quintal, she’s backed by her touring band – including Luiz Tatit, Dante Ozzetti, Arthur Nestrovski and Alice Ruiz – and recorded her album of self-written songs, a rustic, countryside collection influenced by her particular softness.
