Ângela Maria, a big star during the era of Brazilian radio, performs tonight at SESC Pompeia, drawing from the repertoire of her latest álbum, Eu Voltei, from 2011, which marks her 60 years of singing professionally. The singer skillfully transforms other composer’s songs to make them her own, thanks to her melancholic and veteran voice. ‘Olhos nos Olhos’, by Chico Buarque, ‘Portão’, de Roberto Carlos and ‘Esse Cara’, de Caetano Veloso are some expected numbers from her lengthy catalogue.
