Cabaret Revoltaire

The party known for blending live music, theatrical and circus performances, poetry readings and anything a partying public in the XIX and early XX centuries demanded, has left Beat Club and settles into Zé Presidente. In its infancy, the old-old school-themed event was a private affair that took place in creator Isadora Krieger’s house. Lifting the name from the actual Cabaret Voltaire, Isadora named her party after a Swiss cabaret still in operation, famous for housing the Dadaist avant-garde in Zurich in the 1910’s. With their doomed, romantic spirit, Cabaret Revoltaire may offer some inspiration to those who attend, and, of course, it doesn’t hurt that there’s no entrance fee.
