The sexiest shoebox in town
This long but spacious bar and nightclub, neon-lit like a Space Age shoebox, holds the key to good times in Consolação without the staggering drunkenness of Rua Augusta. The slender dancefloor fills quickly, but ample squared sofas offer plenty of room for relaxation or romance. The girls dress to be noticed, the boys aren’t shy about coming forward, and the queue to get in reaches the street. Tuesday nights feature the Silent Party, where attendees are hooked up to sounds piped in to wireless headsets.Wednesday nights is Supersonique, one of the city’s choicest gay events, while pop rules on Thursdays, vinyl records on Fridays and electro beats on Saturdays. Entry is always free until 11.30pm.
