Four of São Paulo's top chefs will be teaming up for the very first time, each cooking one dish in a one-off dinner to mark the launch of the Associação dos Profissionais de Cozinha (APC) (Association of Kitchen Professionals).
The undisputed master of Brazilian gastronomy Alex Atala, of restaurant D.O.M fame, will be joined by Helena Rizzo, whose restaurant Maní ranked alongside Atala's in the top 100 of this year's Worlds Best Restaurant Awards. Also joining them will be the young gun Alberto Landgraf, who opened his restaurant Epice in Jardins last year, and finally Laurent Suaudeau, a French chef who has been living and working in Brazil for decades.
The dinner, hosted at Manioca – the events space adjacent to Rizzo's restaurant Maní – aims to promote the APC and its role supporting all those involved in professional cookery and catering, as well as helping to raise the profile of Brazilian cuisine internationally, something which Alex Atala in particular is outspoken about, as you can read in our interview with the master chef earlier this year.
