Committed foodies need not book pricey flights to Barcelona to get a taste of Spain’s culinary stars, namely the Roca brothers, whose 3-Michelin star restaurant Celler de Can Roca was voted the best restaurant in the world this year by Restaurant magazine. Joan Roca will be spending five days in São Paulo as part of the gourmet event spainfusion, serving up avant-garde dishes in a series of lunches at the Manioca events space, adjacent to restaurant Maní, and dinners, at the Spanish consulate.
You may be saving on the plane fare, but that’s not to say the experience will come cheap. Lunch and dinner tickets cost a cool R$950, with an exclusive lunch for 24 guests on the Monday 14 October, with a live cooking demonstration by Joan Roca, costing R$1400 per head. Buy lunch tickets at spainfusion.org and dinner tickets by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
