The Balé Folclórico da Bahia (Bahia's Folkloric Ballet) returns to São Paulo, 12 years after its last performance here, to present 'Herança Sagrada – A Corte de Oxalá' (Sacred Heritage – Oxalá's Court), in which 26 dancers, musicians and singers present rhythms and dances packed with all the vibrancy, colour and energy of Bahia's rich culture.

The performance is split into two parts: the first re-enacts rituals from the Afro-Brazilian religion candomblé, with chanting and the traditional costumes that represent each of the religious deities (orixás), followed by a choreography inspired by Bahian folk traditions.
